- 금융을 지배적 요소로 갖는 세계적 축적인 신자유주의적 금융세계화를 위해 새로운 통치성(governability)으로 주변부에 대한 중심부의 '공동지배condominium'.
- 여러 제국(주의)론이 있을 수 있음. 켈리니코스식, 세계체제론식,네그리식... 위의 정의는 아마도 세계체제론식에 가깝다고 생각됨.
2. How does your country or region experience Empire as you have defined it? Have there been positive effects as well as negative? Please give concrete illustrations, if possible.
-이 부분이야 우리가 현실에서 실감나게 경험하는 부분 아닐까요? 경제적 측면에서 신자유주의적 구조조정의 여러 결과물들, 국제정치의 제국적 변모 측면은 미군의 재배치에서 엿 볼 수 있는 동아시아 정치-경제 질서의 변화 움짐임들.. 긍정적인 부분을 말한다면..ㅎㅎ... 있을까???
3. Is which program areas is your church's/organization's work impacted or shaped by Empire, and how? Could you also indicate which program areas of your organization's work are most impacted or shaped? We are particularly interested in the program areas of human rights, peace/peace building, economic justice, and ecology/environment. Other program areas you may wish to address could include development, education, health and gender. Please use concrete examples.
- 아마도 평택 미군기지의 제국적 재편에 저항하는 평화운동이 새로운 긍정적, 능동적인 국제주의(affirmative internationalism)의 실천으로 이야기되어질 수 있다고 생각되어짐.
4. What are the key ways your organization is responding to the forces of Empire as they impact your country, region or organization? What work are you already doing in this area?
-이 부분은 매우 중요한데, 원칙적으로 과거에 해왔던 제국(주의)에 대한 투쟁과 조직화의 방식이 부정적인(negative) 방식이었는데, 이젠 네거티브한 반-세계화운동과는 다른 투쟁과 조직화 방식으로 제국(주의)에 대한 대안을 찾을 필요가 있지 않을까 생각해봅니다. 과거 50-80년대 유럽에서 반전-반핵운동이 수백,수천만명의 인원을 동원하며 실천되어왔고, 수많은 좋은 성과를 얻어내었지만, 결국 유럽 각국의 녹색당의 결말로 알 수 있듯이 그 투쟁의 성과는 의회주의, 국가주의로의 수렴됨을 보았습니다.
- 전지구적 새로운 통치성에 대한 인식아래, 제국(주의)에 대한 네거티브한 투쟁 방식도 중요하지만, 무언가 새로운 긍정적인 운동의 방식을 찾을 필요가 있다고 생각합니다. 일례로 런던테러에서 드러난 다문화주의는 이미 새로운 세계의 존재방식입니다. 그렇다면, 국경,인종,이주노동자와 같은 매우 국제적인 이슈들을 혁명적으로 재인식 할 필요가 있지않을까 생가도 해봅니다.

- 신자유주의적 금융세계화에 의한 전 민중들의 황폐화. 80대 20의 사회의 전면화.
- 미국의 군사적 위협이라고 생각합니다. 미국이 미-일(한)동맹에 의한 동아시아 지역의 패권 유지를 위한 군사적 도발 가능성.
6. What role does gender play in Empire? Has your church/organization experienced any differentiation in the way Empire impacts on men and women? If so please explain using concrete examples.
- . 제국적 도발은 상당이 공격적인 남근적(팔루스적) 속성을 가지고 진행되고 있기 때문에 젠더화된 계급투쟁, 여러 투쟁의 영역의 젠더화가 필요한 시기라고 생각됨..

8. What does your church/organization consider to be the most effective ways in which to challenge and resist the dominating and exploitive tendencies of Empire? What has not been effective?
- 가라타니 고진의 주장처럼 생산 영역이 아니라 소비영역, 즉 소비자 운동으로서 제국적 질서에 저항하는 것이 중요하다고 생각됨. 능동적 거부 운동으로서 소비자운동과 생활협동조합운동.
- 非-자본적 생활방식과 생산방식의 창출운동
- 기존의 네거티브한 형태의 운동들은 상당히 자본에 실질적으로 포섭된 운동들이 많이 있기 때문에 별 효과가 없다고 생각됨

-앞에서 말한 새로운 긍정적(positive)이고 능동적인 국제주의(affirmative internationalism)의 실천을 위한 공통의 이슈들을 만들어나갈 필요가 있음. 물론 조직화 방식의 문제도 새롭게 제기되어야함(黨과 같은 세력들의 연합이 아닌). 반전-평화운동과 빈곤의 문제는 연대의 좋은 고리...
